The design of a new building or building expansion can involve reading and understanding a multitude of adopted building codes. The interpretations of these codes are often interpreted by the designer, the building owner and the code enforcers. Often, these interpretations are in conflict between the designer and the code enforcers of the municipality in which the building will be constructed. These conflicts may result in construction delays and increased project cost.
Antal & Associates has experience in meeting with building owners and code officials to understand the concerns and rationale used by code officials in issuing their decisions and provides an avenue for reaching a compromise with the code officials, building owners, and designers.
